About Digital Radiography

The Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center offers digital radiography to greatly increase the safety and diagnostic capability of the x-ray process.  Listed below are the benefits:

• Up to 90% less radiation exposure than conventional chemically processed x-ray films.
• The radiographic image is captured and transmitted to a computer screen within seconds.
• Radiographs can be e-mailed and electronically transmitted to other providers or third party payers.
• The technology is kind to the environment and does not discharge any silver or chemicals into waste water treatment facilities.
• Excellent radiographic images can be obtained and manipulated as well as magnified for greater diagnostic value.
